Palisades Getaway

I was able to get a couple of days off of my busy schedule and visit my parents and sisters at my aunt and uncles cabin at palisades lake near the Wyoming border. Erin had school and class but just told me to go since I haven't been able to do much at all this summer. It was a nice three days off. Awesome weather, green and water flowing everywhere. If you didn't know, all the lakes up here in Idaho are either 100% or over on how full they are and the snake river is higher than ever. We went riding fourwheelers, fishing a little and just hung out at the cabin. It was fun. the first night I was there, there was a crazy thunderstorm that had thunder and lightning every minute for a half an hour coming very close at 3 in the morning. the secound night after we tried fishing, we were driving back and we came up on a car that hit a moose two minuted before we got there. It was a hispanic family of four driving a two door chevy cavalier. They were so lucky none of them were killed, it shattered the front window rolled over the car and shattered the back window. The lady in the passenger seat had glass stuck all over in her arm and the driver had a broken knuckle. I was translating for them while Brittney (works as a surgical tech) was taking some of the glass out of her arm. The moose died on it's own. it was really crazy.
Here is some of the pictures I took of the trip.

I love Idaho. There are so many pretty places like that. Makes me want to go up there on a fishing trip.

It sounds beautiful. I just spent my first two weeks in the Canyon, and it is beautiful there, too, but desolate. Not like green Idaho.

I hope you at least got a nice steak from that moose S.o.B.
