WOW

This last weekend, we were able to go to Shelley for Easter and for my birthday to visit both of our families. Before we headed over there, I had to do my CNA skills test. I had to pick a scenario to show the instructor I could perform the specific objective correct. I was assigned with another student that was doing the test, but I had to be the patient for that student and the other student was the patient for me. The other student was a girl in the Registered Nursing program and is going to graduate this December. She hadn't taken the CNA course, but said she was able to take the test because the first year of nursing taught her that. She went first and failed horribly. She didn't wash her hands right, didn't clean the dentures right, didn't remember to put on gloves for peri care (changing and cleaning a person), and for a back rub for someone laying down, she made the dummy sit up and bend in half instead of rolling it on the side. Oh and when she took respirations, she told me she was going to and said "ok breathe normal" which your not supposed to do. Then I did my scenario which was pericare with a catheter, transfer from a bed to a wheelchair and comb hair. I aced it. I kinda felt bad when the instructor told her she didn't pass and I did. But then I realized, she should know this stuff, this is basic patient care and she is about to graduate from the nursing program!! So it was kinda crazy, I had to hurry out before she started to cry.

Then we went to Shelley, were we hung out with the families. It was my birthday that night so we had cake. I haven't eaten that much cake for a while, we had two birthday cakes and then easter desserts. Here is the amazing cherry chocolate cake my mom made.

On saturday we went bowling with my family, then shopping a little. then we hung out with her family and helped them as they are building a new chicken coop. Suday we went to church and had easter Lunch at my Aunt and Uncles house with all the family. The best thing there we had was apricot cheesecake. I think it might be my new favorite dessert. Then we had dinner with erins family. Prime rib, amazing. Then we rested some and after, me my father in law and brother in law went and shot at tennis balls around the field with our bows and blunts for tips. It was alot of fun, good practice.

Then we had another busy week at school. This last friday went like this for me: my CNA skills test at 9, Anatomy and physiology test at 10, English paper due at 12, math homework due at 1, an interview for a secound job at 3 and work from 5 till 9. Everything went pretty dang good though for all the things I had to do. I am officially done with the CNA! Finally. I just found out I am hired for a secound job for this summer, a stocker at the brand new wal-mart they are building across the street from our house. I wasn't getting enough hours at sportsmans so I found another job as well.

Well, theres no rest for the wiked, so that's why I am so busy I guess.
